Obviously, this is not a tea from the historic firm Tong Qing Hao, as the old company discontinued the use of the legendary brand "Dragon and Horse" in 1920. This is a subsequent reproduction, hypothetically produced in the early 2000s or possibly even earlier, perhaps in the late 90s, given that when we acquired the batch in 2008, it was already a well-aged tea. We have little information about this tea, but what we can share are its excellent flavors and texture after 15 years of aging in our private storage.
This tea proudly showcases its aging process in an absolutely clean storage, free from the unpleasant notes that often appear in many aged Shou teas, such as earthy, moldy, or rancid tones, as well as the ironic fishy hints sometimes present in younger Shou Puerhs. This delightful tea offers the characteristic flavors of a well-aged Puerh: calming, warming, comforting, and sweet. Most satisfying is the exquisite, creamy texture in its thick liquor, which glides down the throat elegantly without any sensation of swallowing.
