Ming Lu means censer (Lu) of Ming dynasty, as this teapot is similar in shape to the Xuande Lu, which is a famous batch of censers manufactured for the royal family during Xuande Era in Ming dynasty.
Different from the previous Ming Lu that we had, this one is created by another author, highlighting the personal taste of the artist, less curvy and more vintage aesthetics. What has been perfectly retained is the advantage of this classic design: the wide body provides an extensible space for the tea leaves; the short spout on the low body allows a quick and fluid pour. Moreover, the extra small capacity is very convenient for individual tea session as well as for two persons.
The photos were taken under natural light and not edited. There may be subtle nuance when you see the teapot under different lighting.
