Ming Lu means censer (Lu) of Ming dynasty, since its inspiration originated from Xuande Lu (see the last photos), a famous batch of censers manufactured for the royal family during Xuande Era in Ming dynasty. Although Ming Lu pot is not very common in the market, it is indeed an excellent choice. The simple and fluid lines highlight the elegance; the low and wide body brings out a quaint and classic taste, also gives an extensible space to the tea leaves; moreover, the short spout matches perfectly with the low body, making the pour maximumly quick and smooth.
This Ming Lu pot is made from very high quality Zhuni Da Hong Pao material. Its surface is very oily and silky, with the raw ore particles visible in the sandy texture. The proper volume is just right for a Gongfu Cha tasting session among 1-3 persons.
The photos were taken under natural light and not edited. There may be subtle nuance when you see the teapot under different lighting.
