This unsmoked Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong originates from Ma Su village, one of the 12 villages in the Tong Mu Guan area. Gua Dun, Jiang Dun, and Ma Su are considered the core production zone, with Ma Su boasting the highest altitude and a renowned reputation for the finest quality.
Crafted from Bai Nian Lao Cong (century-old arbors of Lao Cong Shui Xian), this tea undergoes impeccable processing. It stands as a top-quality black tea, esteemed among the highest class even within the local Chinese market.
The excellence of this tea is expressed in a variety of ways. The flavor is always elegant, with pleasant sweetness and without any astringency, even when long steeped at high temperature; the rich flagrance, both fruity and floral, presents vividly all the while, floating from the Gaiwan, dissolved in the tasty liquor and lingering at the bottom of the teacup; the tea stands for surprisingly numerous infusions, and even after multiple brewing when it finally loses the flavors, it still brings some sweetness as well as some iconic notes of Lao Cong.
