Longxu Black Tea is a member of Longxu Cha family, also a very special one among numerous black teas of China. It is unique not only because of the special shape, also for its particular production process. As it is produced in the same factory as our Longxu Oolong, some processes of Oolong production are applied in it; for example, a slight pre-fermentation is carried out in the same stage of oolong production, thus some aroma similar to Oolong is well conserved. However, to be a black tea, it is fully fermented in the end.

This unique tea brings some pleasant and distinct flavors between oolong and black tea, sweet, mild, slightly herbal, very fruity, with some fig notes in it, as well as some raisin hints, lasting very long during endless infusions when being boiled.

  • To Boil (recommendable):

One piece for 300 - 350ml of water.

Remove the colorful threads, and optionally the white thread at the base can be kept so that the tea remains in a bunch. Rinse with boiling water and then keep it simmering gently until it reaches your desired strength. Add always boiling water every time half of the liquor is consumed.

    Gongfu Style:

    One piece/100ml/100ºC

Remove all the threads including the white one at the base. Quick rinse, 60s in the 1st infusion, 30s in the 2nd-4th infusion, long steeping since the 5th infusion. This is a mild tea when simply steeped, we very much recommend to boil it so that its characteristics can fully express.
