Among the numerous products from the China Tea Wuzhou Factory, the #8312 brick is a noteworthy choice, even being mentioned in the authoritative book “Illustrated Guide to China Tea Cellared Liu Bao Teas” (see the last photos). This tea is not commonly found in the market nowadays, since it is out of production, with the last batch apparently released in 2014. This 2008/2010 version was the first batch of the recipe, as the information contained in the serial number #8312: 8-3-12. 8: Raw material of 2008; 3: Third grade; 12: Location number in the tea cellar. Fortunately, we acquired dozens of bricks in 2011.
This tea is made from third-grade raw material with an ideal stem content, providing abundant polysaccharides and pectin. After 12 years of aging under favorable conditions in our private storage, it has undergone a fantastic transformation. Thanks to the quality of the raw material and the proper aging process, the tea now exhibits a remarkable aging aroma in the wet leaves, a well-balanced flavor with comforting sweetness and clear betel nut notes, and most commendably, the viscous and silky texture of the liquor, making this tea truly impressive.
