Dazhai Zhongshan is not typically considered among the most renowned locations amidst the many famous tea mountains in Yunnan. However, this tea has been included in our Xin An selection due to its excellent palatability, or rather its adaptability to varied palates. While Raw/Sheng Puerh often faces lower acceptance due to its aggressive flavor in its young stages and the costly price when appropriately aged, this tea stands out as an exception. It boasts significant sweetness and fruitiness, with negligible bitterness and astringency, making it adaptable to all sorts of palates, including beginners, experienced drinkers, and advanced tasters, except for those intentionally seeking harsh flavors.
The Gushu raw material, harvested from single trees, provides an excellent foundation for this tea, while the dry storage aging process throughout ten years imparts an extremely clean aging aroma. All of this creates a pleasant and refined flavor profile, making this affordable mid-aged tea a very recommendable option.
